Speech Production Study

My name is Halden Levin, and I am an undergraduate Linguistics major. For my honors thesis, I am investigating factors influencing speech production in American English and Taiwanese Mandarin. Researching these factors will allow us to better understand speech production.

  • 18 years ~ 99 years
  • Male, Female, Gender Inclusive

Visit Availability

  • Standard business hours (M-F, 8-5)
  • Extended hours (M-F, early morning or evening)
  • Weekend hours, if needed

What will be asked of you

During one 30-minute session, you will answer demographic questions on a computer and then be recorded reading sentences in the presence of the researcher.

Looking for Specific Volunteers

Able to participate:

  • You are at least 18 years old.
  • You are a native American English speaker.
  • You have lived in the United States for most of your life.
  • You are willing to have your voice recorded.

Not eligible if:

  • You have a speech or hearing impairment.
